About our Curriculum

Our school’s teaching and learning is determined by the Revised 1999 Primary School Curriculum as laid down by the Department of Education and Skills. In our Junior and Senior Infant classes, we are also committed to delivering Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.

Our Curriculum

We teach the following subjects to all children from Junior Infants to 6th class an age-appropriate and ability-geared way:

Visual Art

PE (Physical Education)

SPHE (Social, Personal and Health Education)

RE (Religious Education) (in accordance with our school’s ethos)

Our Location

Our location provides us with many opportunities to ensure that the teaching and learning across the curriculum is stimulating, enjoyable and 'hands-on'. All children from Junior Infants to 6th class avail of these when appropriate and relevant. Within easy walking distance, we are very lucky to have many much-loved field-trip opportunities nearby, including Pearse Street Library, Merrion Square Park, The National Library, the Grand Canal,  No. 29 Merrion Square, The National Art Gallery, The National Museum, The Natural History Museum, Leinster House and The Little Museum of Dublin.

With the exception of swimming lessons, which are subsidised highly by our Board of Management, all activities and field-trip venues listed above are free for all pupils.
