Scoil Chaitríona Baggot Street is not only a school – we are a community. Like any community, we thrive on the support, input and interest of all members – children, parents, families, staff and the Board of Management.
However, it is the support of parents that makes a difference to any school. Not purely to the school itself but, more importantly, to the educational success and attainment of every child in our care.
In Scoil Chaitríona, we recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our children’s families are always welcome in our school and everyone is encouraged to become involved in our school community in any way that you can. The school is part of the Department of Education and Science (DES) home/school community liaison scheme which provides the framework under which this relationship exists. Our home-school teacher, Breedge Conway, is available to meet with you all on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.
As a school, we are whole-heartedly committed to the development of meaningful parent/teacher relationships, either on a one-to-one or whole-school basis. Therefore, we encourage you to have as much involvement as you can or as you would like to have in our school.
In this section of our website, we want to provide you with general information about our school. However, if there is anything you would like to see added that would be of use to you, please speak with Siobhán Weekes, the principal, and we will do our best to include this.
